The story
Made from what was left, loved for what it became
Patchwork began because fabric was precious. Nothing was wasted: worn clothes were cut down and pieced into something new. It has been stitched in ancient Egypt, by Japanese farming families mending indigo boro, and by 180 women on a convict ship bound for Tasmania in 1841, who pieced the famous Rajah Quilt on the voyage.
Our chairs borrow that spirit. They are a little bit nostalgic, a little bit bold, and made to be kept.

Is every patchwork chair exactly the same?
No, and that's part of the charm. Because each chair is covered in patchwork fabric, the placement of the prints varies a little from chair to chair, so a set looks collected rather than mass-produced.
Can I mix multicolour and black and white chairs?
Yes. Keep one thing in common, such as the wooden legs or the chair shape, and a mix of colourways looks intentional. A black and white chair at each end of a table of multicolour chairs works well.
Can I buy a single chair?
Yes. Our patchwork chairs come as a single or in sets of 2, 4 or 6. For a complete look, our Halo and Dallas dining sets pair them with a matching table.
Do the chairs arrive assembled?
They need simple assembly: attach the legs to the seat using the instructions and fixings included.
How do I look after patchwork fabric?
Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment and spot clean marks with a damp cloth. Keep chairs out of strong direct sunlight to help the colours last.
